Lenient - Wrapped up in the safety of herself, this woman can be lenient. We hold such high standards, impossible expectations, for ourselves. Sometimes we just need to let go, realize how great we are, and be gentle with ourselves.

At first in this painting was a man, in green, holding the pink woman. After trying to get the arms right forever, I finally realized that she was fighting me on it. This figure didn’t want or need that man to hold her. She’s strong enough on her own.

*Both Stretch & Lenient are without paintbrushes, as they painted originally just for me. Because they were admired by many others, prints of both are now for sale.
