Instead of a vulva or vaginal image, there is a lock. This was done before the movie Black Snake Moan came out, of which I am a big fan, as it reminds me of this piece and the feelings I had at the time. I felt I had to lock my body away. No person should ever have to feel that.

The blue background on this piece makes me feel like the woman is falling, which is how I felt at the time. Starting to heal sexually was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my short life thus far, and I felt I had nothing to catch me. I didn’t want to be sexual, or even have sexual organs. Just a keyless lock, please.
